Travel from Leh across the Khardung La side. The onward Shyok road toward Pangong must be confirmed on the travel date.
Where to stay
Hunder has the widest choice. Diskit is practical; Sumur is quieter; Turtuk rewards an overnight for slow travellers.

Nubra Valley is at About 3,050 m. Conditions can change quickly in Ladakh. Carry identification, cash, warm layers, water and essential medication. Confirm current roads, permits and operating accommodation before leaving Leh or Kargil.
