The essential first Ladakh journey with sensible acclimatisation, Nubra’s dunes and a night beside Pangong.

A fuller circuit adding Tso Moriri, monasteries and flexible activity time to the classic highlights.

Travel gradually from Kashmir’s green valleys through Kargil to Leh, Nubra and Pangong.

A road-focused journey through Kargil, Suru and Zanskar for travellers who value remote landscapes over quick sightseeing.

A compact itinerary for travellers with limited time, keeping the first day protected for altitude adjustment.

Srinagar, a Kashmir valley excursion and the great overland transition to Ladakh’s classic circuit.
Start with available nights, arrival city and the highest sleeping point—not the number of attractions. Travellers flying to Leh need a protected acclimatisation period. Travellers arriving from Srinagar gain a gradual overland transition but still need a sensible first day in Leh.
Keep the journey focused on Leh with either Nubra or Pangong, or use a carefully paced classic circuit. Short trips have little weather resilience and should not include every remote region.
This is the useful range for Leh, the Indus Valley, Nubra and Pangong with less pressure. Nine days also makes a Srinagar–Kargil–Leh approach practical.
Add Tso Moriri, Hanle, Turtuk, more monastery time or a combined Kashmir sector. Zanskar generally deserves additional dedicated days rather than being forced into a standard circuit.
A private vehicle gives control over stops, hotel level and daily pace and works well for families, couples and photographers. Shared or fixed departures lower cost for solo travellers but use fixed timings and luggage limits. We explain the trade-off rather than presenting one format as ideal for everyone.
